Puerto Madero is named in honor of its designer Eduardo Madero and was built to have a similar appearance to the port of London.

The first dam, Dam 1, has 570 feet long, and there are located a cinema complex, an amphitheater and an office tower.

The International Biennial of Art and Documentary Photography, which first edition took place in Madrid, now arrives in Buenos Aires.
The focus of the Biennial is composed of images taken by women within the first two editions of the Prize photographers Julia Margaret Cameron (The Woman behind the camera) who organized The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards (WPGA) in 2010 and 2011.
